Modern Homes with a Traditional Look

trace™

I am looking for examples of homes that look semi traditional on the outside, but have some nice modern/contemporary features.

Thanks

I know Dwell just did an issue on this maybe an issue or two back.. "Modern on the Inside." it had some pretty nice projects I think, good jumping off point.

Thanks. Yeah, got that one. I need to find new construction, though, and things that aren't 'traditional'. That makes sense?

Things like semi modern looking, but with a pitched roof or something.

Stuff like this:

herzog and demeuron are into the idea, as are mvrdv.

they both have a few examples of house looking houses (pitched roofs anyway; sorta bungalo-ish) that are detailed and finished in modern way...
