I was doing research and looking for AutoCAD graphic drivers... The system I am working on has a respectable ATi x850xt graphics card and AutoCAD freezes for 3-5 seconds when Im not close work. Also the system is running 2 gigs or ram so I know thats not the case either. Anyone else experience this problem?
Do you have problems with any other program or windows in general? If so check your RAM to make sure it is seated correctly into the slot. If it is just AutoCAD then you may need to go into the options, under system, and use the driver that Radeon has rather than the software driver that AutoCAD defaults to. If this does not fix it you can always reinstall it. :)

have you tried to enable professional display features? (hardware line AA...)
I think it could just be that Autocad is a terribly written piece of software?
