"hmmm... i like the idea. how about if we make this an informal Archinect competition? each entry can be submitted to a new, specially created folder in the image gallery, with 1 image, title, and description. I can get a couple impartial judges and try to find a sponsor to offer a prize to the winner... an ipod or something like that.
there are quite a few at the moment:
most due around end of july
designboom and 100%design (london furniture fair)
100% tiles www.designboom.com
(should be a link to it from the website--the banner at the top of the page)
TED - yes, i did make that statement, but my proposal was apparently ignored by caste, the member who offered the initial idea for the competition... hence, no fruition.

Furniture Competitions?
Does anyone know of any good furniture competitions going on?
hmmm.....let me see.....oh yes yes.....its the archinect school desk competition !!
but like many poorly managed comps....something here went wrong....never really got off the ground...i think 'caste' was running it.
