Lightweight Tensile Structures

DJ

I need to design a pretty small, lightweight tensile structure (aluminum frame) incorporating movable canopies, fabric, things that possible move in the wind, etc.
Here's a challenge to you great archinect users: Do you know of some prescedents I could look at for this project? I def. have some ideas myself, but would like to see some real-world models of how some of these ideas have been applied. Thanks!

It's apparently very difficult to make movable canopies, since they easily break in strong winds. The only projects that come to mind right now are the unfolding umbrellas of Buro Happold in the 70's (for a Pink Floyd tour and as sun shades in Mecca). Then there's the Curtain Wall House by Shigeru Ban, but this is of course not really a "structure". More interesting references might be found in the art world, such as Panamarenko (www.panamarenko.info) or the amazing Theo Jansen (www.strandbeest.com).
