I have been researching and working with various CNC machines over the past couple of years. I have a shortlist, but I am wondering if anyone in the Archinect community has experience with any of the manufacturers. I am also looking at the different software packages.
Basically I am in the market for a machine with a 4'x8' working envelope, easy to use, good tech support (for when I screw up), variable speed industrial spindle (none of this off the shelf router stuff), and I need it to work in a variety of materials including aluminum plates in terms of hardness.
Any suggestions, feedback, or stories would be appreciated.
Thanks Michael, I'll take another look @ CAMaster. Good to hear about Aspire, that is my first choice, looks like it has a robust user base also, active bulletin board for questions etc...

We use a CAMaster 4" x 8' with three spindles.

As for the programs we use are Aspire and Modo.
Hope this helps,

He has a 4x8. I'm sure he would have you come over to look at it.

Hey thanks again Michael, looks like you are new to these parts, welcome.
Yes Keith, real new.
I saw your post about the CNC work via a Google news alert.
I like what I see and I'll stay around.
Learning and helping where I can.
Michael
