can anyone tell me how i can use an existing shape that i have created on 3d studio max and use it to cut a hole in that shape another form on 3d max. Its driving me crazy.
Creat Panel>click on the drop down menu>select COMPOUND OBJECTS>click on the Boolean button
from there it should be self explanatory. This is one of the worst features of Max. Thankfully, the new version has include Power Booleans, but only for subscriptions.
yes the next version(8) has power booleans for subscriptions...but version 9 will have power booleans in the program itself...you can find the information at the nPower website.
until then you will have top make due with crappy triangualted booleans.
