portfolio questions

currin

I am about to graduate with a five year degree in arch. As this is happening I've been putting together my work to create my portfolio to look for jobs. What kind of things are people looking for in a portfolio? How long should it be? Digital and hard copy? Does creating a webpage or blog seem appropriate? Any other thoughts or comments are welcome, thanks.

Try searching the site. There have been many a post about this, and they are all helpful.

Now for some vague answers:

Q: What are people looking for in a portfolio?
A: Evidence of design skills, preferably yours.

Q: How long should it be?
A: As long as you need to show your design skills.

Q: Digital and Hard Copy?
A: Apparently hard copy is the way to go because people can be too lazy to open a link. But I suppose this depends on how you are applying. If you are going to walk in, Id assume hard copy is preferable.
