Is a grade of "I" (Incomplete) a red flag for admissions?

FluffPuff

I know GPA is not the most important factor for arch schools, and I'm quite happy with my 3.4 GPA. However, my problem is not with the number itself.

See, I'm a senior right now, and last semester I got an Incomplete grade for one of my classes due to medical reasons. Since then, I finished the work and my professor changed my "I" grade into a "B+", but this won't be reflected in my transcript until mid January (after the application deadlines). This means that I'll have to send grad schools a transcript with an "I" still clearly visible.

Should I be worried, considering that my GPA is good? Should I write an addendum explaining the situation, or would this just call into attention something the admissions folk wouldn't otherwise notice?

Thanks

This kind of situation (and many others) is what the letter (or statement of purpose) is for: a place to explain particular situations that don't fit on standard forms.
