I am currently doing research on architecture firms in California. I am trying to find the size of the firms, but seem to be having difficultly. You could call these firms and explain that you are doing research. All you answers in a small part of your morning or afternoon.
check with the California council of aia ... they may publish a directory of firms ... often, documents of that sort will include firm size (althought, it won't necessarily be up-to-date)
