I'm overnighting my first grad school application on friday. I checked on prices and the USPS is a little less than half the cost for the same gauranteed service through fed-ex or ups.
What gives, do I trust the corrupt government or the greedy capitalists?
if it "absolutely positively" has to be there by friday go with fed-ex. the postal service would be fine if you had more time or if it weren't so time sensitive, but if getting into this school this year hangs in the balance, why risk it.

FedEx. It will probably be less expesive than USPS. I suggest opening a free FedEx account. Cheaper rates, and you can print label from home.
usps is not owned by the government anymore is it?
