Upon further inspection, this looks like those nice 1:18 die-cast models sold by Ertl, which already cost a pretty penny. Seems any semi-skilled modeler could aproximate with a few household tools and a $30 car from Ebay.

Funny idea...

i wonder how much they paid the Little People to crash the cars?

i think you could distort by heating up the styrene model kits from toys r us or walmart or the like.

These are definitely die-cast. The two scales available in crashed (1:18 and 1:24) are common with those metal models.
