Finish my portfolio (aka create one that doesn't suck), get a job after I graduate (in the most random of months, July), lose just enough weight to fit into my bridesmaid's dress, and HAVE MORE FUN!
Time to bring this thread back for some last-minute resolutions as the year ends.
I resolve to make a huge celebration out of making my 4,000th post.
Damn!
OK, the truth is, I just wanted to admit that I have literally put on ten pounds in holiday treat preparation and consumption this year, so I'm sprinting the the finish line by downing as many cookies as I can this week, along with a cup of rum-nog right now, in anticipation of 1 January getting back to the gym. I feel success here: I'll be back to fighting weight by my 40th birthday! Resolution!
i think anyone who was the head cook in the kitchen this year put on 5 -10 pounds. some of us (and i don't put myself in this category at all) hide it better, but still....
my only resolution is to do some serious traveling abroad this year. i almost don't care where, but i've got to get outside this country for at least a little while...
Anyone else have a problem keeping to weight loss goals when working late, which seems to occur quite frequently in our field? For me personally, late night munchies are a major bitch.
New Year's Resolutions
Resolution #1:
Get accepted into an M.Arch. program.
Resolution #2:
Finish my BA degree so that I can actually start my M.Arch. in the fall, assuming that I've kept Resolution #1.
Ugh, this is depressing to read....I didn't keep ANY of my resolutions.
Even my resolution to not drink less: I bet I did actually drink less in 2006 than I did in 2005! Crap.
OK I need a strategy to fulfill my 2007 resolutions. I think odd years are the more successful years, anyway.
abra, you're not smoking again, are you? Jeepers that's strength. Especially being back in Turkey.
betadinesutures, did you finish all your exams?
lb, 2007 just looks cool. 2007. Oooooo!
I can sense a far better year. Far fewer medical bills and broken bones. A less gf stresses.
Just be careful, garpike: don't get drunk on New Years and make any attempt to turn around and talk to someone - you might hurt your other leg!!!
Yeah, 2006 looks too squishy. 2007 looks sharp, like a garpike.
Ha ha, I did actually drink less this year. Mainly because I started running, which was a surprise to everyone involved, I might add.
#1 - reconcile
#2 - put as much effort into my finances as i do running
and #3 - drink more but spend le$$ on booze...time to start sweet-talking
Coors Lite 40s, dude. Or Karkov plastic-bottle-style. Bang for the buck.
To get smart enough to compete on jeopardy like these guys!
lb, maybe it's that dance to the right that the 2 and 7 do.
I plan to stay seated this xmas night.
My new year's resolution is 600 dpi.
2007 is divisible by 3... twice! That's why its cool.
Of course.
765 is also divisible by 3... twice! Damn!
Holy Turds!!!
But 600 only once... Oh well.
But 1908 is! .. twice!
Somebody got drunk on a Monday night. :-D
Ha ha ha ha ha. How could you tell?
FIND A NEW CAREER
Been there.
spend more $$$ on the drink, but still drink less. I'm ready for the good stuff.
oh, & kill £e$$ trees!
Finish my portfolio (aka create one that doesn't suck), get a job after I graduate (in the most random of months, July), lose just enough weight to fit into my bridesmaid's dress, and HAVE MORE FUN!
40 oz. bottles of beer are not what i had in mind...getting comped by by increasingly wealthy & powerful friends is closer to reality here
I should start taking a multivitamin every day again.
susan is my multiviamin....I have no idea what that means
Oh boy. Here we go. Mdler you been drinking?
(wait for me!)
nope...just red-lining
garpike,
when you commin to the east side to eat an omlet??
garpike, you can't start before me...ready? go! see you at the finish line.
Anytime, mdler.
No racing! Ok... go!
garpike, you are not allowed to visit the "Fart" post until 11:14 PST - I have a bet on it dammit!
