Send out resumes for a few part time junior architect position in the San Francisco Bay Area. Someone reply what I am expecting for a freelance basis position. So what should I ask for? I am currently a third year March student at Cal Poly Pomona. Will graduate at the end of this year. I have a BA arch from Berkeley and have worked for a small firm for about half a year before going back to school to get my Master. I am pretty much proficient in Autocad, Form-z and PS. I have good modeling skills and I am also bilingual Thanks, guys!!
I think 17-20 an hour is more reasonable for someone with computer skills in the bay area... esp. if it's completely freelance and there are no benefits involved. Make sure you find out if they are going to 1099 you - if so then you will have to pay the taxes out of what they pay you and you should take that into account as well.

Relief - Did you look at the sallary poll?
Yes, I did it a few days ago....but I still dont have any idea.
I will reexamine it again. Still, any suggestion of a figure?
$25-30k
might want to drop the 'architect' label to avoid any conflicts.
This will be a part time position. how much should ask per hour?
Billing rates will determine how much they can actually pay you.
I would guess between 10-16 bucks an hour, if you are good - get in the door with whatever they offer, but ask for what you want at 6 months.
thanks ex-army dude
