SO I got a job finally! My first real arch-field job. Not an internship, not a co-op...So what should I bring my first day? It's a really small firm (5 people) but they do a pretty wide range of work, and they do their own furniture, fixtures...A small sketchbook? Should I bring another copy of my resume? He called me back so he still has my number...Any advice would be great. This is a huge step up from Borders...I am excited and nervous...
leave the headphones at home and tune in to the practice - good luck, sounds
like you've got a good thing....the only thing that I ever wished for on a first day
at an office was more short term memory to cope with all the new copier codes, names, and such. enjoy.
Congrats! Bring a non-perishable lunch. First day lunches are so hard to predict. Eat alone? Eat with new friends. Eat out, stay at your desk. This is some potentially serious social turmoil.
A few of your arch supplies: arch scale, a favorite pen/pencil/eraser etc.
You can bring a sketchbook if you want, but you will get plenty of paper there.
Mouse pad.
Snacks.
Mug.
