yeah, the appeal is hopefully based on the skills and poise, not the title. But I have been known to be overly positive before ....

For a female architect, it tends to be an immediate turn-off for most men when I first tell them I am an architect. I usually don't offer up that information unless asked. Men are easily intimidated, they lean back, and the eyes open wide, they look the other way and change the subject.

But once they know me, male friends for example, tend to like that I am an architect and are impressed with it, they bring it up in conversation, "Well, what does the architect think?" and look at me, and that's cool.
My husband loves that I am an architect. Most of the time. Well, maybe some of the time.

well, i certainly know a few. but most architects i know aren't dickheads, they're nice people. nice but dumb.

Interesting that our self image is lower than our public value. Perhaps it is due to us filtering out the outside world and public opinion. Then again, I am a student and my world exists in a flippin studio and computer lab. Oh Christmas vacation. I long for the day we meet again.

I tend to think female architects are hot. It is all I have dated for the past three years. The normal ladies just dont get it like a hottie architect lassie.
