phoenix mills and the other mills along the rail line are being converted or likely will be in the near future.

i don't think there are really all that many loft conversions around. mostly because it's usually easier to tear the old warehouse down and rebuild from scratch, rather that reuse them. i can't think of any besides the ones at phoenix mills. you're going to have a hard time...

besides the lower parel area, you might find something in the byculla/mazgaon/lalbagh/cotton green part of town, but i can't give you anything more conclusive than that...

i'm surprised u're having a hardtime finding info on lofts/mills in mumbai

try these

http://www.intbau.org/Mumbai.htm
http://mail.architexturez.net/+/MPISG-Media/archive/msg00300.shtml

u can contact the local chapters of both INTBAU and INTACH and latch on to their mailing list. Also Prince of Wales foundation patronizes (!) a lot of research etc on mill revitalization in Mumbai.

So google and yer shall find...

i see that you're in hyderabad...

why don't you contact somebody at the UDRI here in bombay? they might be able to help you. http://www.udri.org

also, you might want to take a look at the Leo Burnett office in Parel. that wasn't exactly a loft conversion, but it was constructed in an existing mill/warehouse. it's been published in quite a few issues of indian architect & builder magazine. you'll have to look up the back issues for the last couple of years to find photos...

When you say loft conversions, do you necessarily mean residential?
