I would like to know if there is a more technical/architectural name for the aisles that are on the left and right side of a church/cathedral nave?
My only source, Wikipedia calls it simply "aisles" but I would imagine that there has to be some sophisticated name/nomenclature that defines the aisles of any of the worlds most beautiful cathedrals.
baby naves, bitchin' naves are all interesting words to describe outer aisles of a cathedral but is that what the designer of these cathedrals called them?
