Could someone explain what is the importance of Hotel Sphinx in Koolhaas's Delirious New York to his theories/observations? I am currently writing an essay on Koolhaas's observation of architecture and cities in China, and my professor told me to read the part on Hotel Sphinx. I read Delirious New York half way before skipping to other books by Koolhaas, but I just don't understand the relevance of Hotel Sphinx to my essay's contention.
Importance of Hotel Sphinx (from Delirious New York)?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
