Would be interested on your thoughts on the following proposal for a work of public art/archetecture in Durham UK by a Swedish artist?

Please feel free to post your comments on Councils website aswell as here if you think it will help the cause of helping support the arts:

as well as here so people of Durham can gain from an educated worldwide view point.

I love the work and feel there is a great need for work like this but it also raises a number of other points such as role of iconic works, economic value ( the Angel of the North is said to have attracted £500million to Gateshead), past v present, contempory works in traditional settings, etc. Loads to talk about.

I know the arts officer over there in Durham he is a nice guy and an interesting artist in his own right (www.neilhillier.com) and he has a lot to deal with on this one. I am sure your thoughts would be welcome.

I will be interested in what you think of the DURHAM SKY BOWL.
