patchwork

Ok, I just bought a Mac IBook G4.
Am I going to be the only one in my M.Arch program to have one? Is CAD usable on a Mac??

Yes, you can get CAD applications for Mac. It won't be AutoCAD, if thats what you're looking for.

Did you check with your school's computer requirements/recommendations? Thats usually the best place to start, although its kinda too late for you.

Hey, either you'll be unique or possibly make a friend.

Plenty of CAD(computer aided design) apps exist for the Mac platform: Vectorworks, MacDraft, and AutoCAD.
So do plenty of(affordable) 3D programs/renderers: Cheetah3D, FormZ, SketchUp.

Here is a link for architectual/design Mac based apps discussions/links:

You might want to get as much RAM as you can afford.
