green design resume boost

crawlins

Like most (to my knowledge), I'm a recent graduate without a job. I would just like something that can build practical experience. I would like to learn and enhance my sustainable design knowledge and skills. Does anyone know of any programs, events or charrettes that take place with like-minded individuals working to help communities abroad, i.e. costa rica, or here in the US?? I don't mind paying for said program; it would be something that can keep me busy while the economy sucks, build my resume and peak my interest in green design and its practicality.

is crawlins a building? people are accredited, buildings are certified...

as for what you can do... study up on passivhaus,  partake in neighborhood green activities/associate w/ like minded folks. i'd take the LEED exam just because this is the industry baseline, even though it's not stringent enough...
