Hello, I am currently completing my second year at UBC, but my dream is to go to Dalhousie
for their BEDS program. I have applied this year, but while I don't
actually know if I got in, I don't have much confidence that I did since
I kind of applied a little bit last minute. I am more concerned about
my portfolio because while I believe I have a descent artistic ability, I
put pieces in it that represent what I can do best instead of showing a
great variety. For example, many of my sketches and paintings were of
faces which I realize was probably not the best idea. However, I am
still very passionate about going there and I was wondering if people
that got accepted into Dalhousie or other
schools with similar programs, what, as a person who doesn't know how
to make a portfolio, should put into it. I would like specifics like
what you think the content should be, how many different styles should I
attempt? How many still lifes? What makes a portfolio stand out?
I am intending on re-applying next year, and would love to know how to better my portfolio, thank you for your tips!
