There may be a move to NJ in my near future, and I don't know very much about the architecture scene down there. Does anyone have any suggestions of firms to check out, either for employment or for just being cool?
Princeton is the epitome of central jersey, along with trenton being directly the midpoint of the state. The area holds a great market for high-endresidential since there is still some land for building on. Light commercial and retail still hold a strong market. Commuting to Philly is reallynot a big deal, i do it every day, and it's the cleanest city on the east coast if you stay on center city and logan square.All of the people are friendly and the variety of firms there can't be beat. Septa from West Trenton, park for free,$11 round trip.
Too cheap to pay a decent fee, and uses a Hotmail address... Sounds legit.

How many hours are you expecting it would take to prepare the plans. First, I would charge at least $40,000 at Billed Hourly rate of $500/hour. That's about $15,000 for me and about $20,000 for the architect's stamp who would be my contracted consultant and about $5,000 to pay off the licensing board if they have a problem otherwise, it gets donated to some good cause.

hotravi - you're likely to get only grief here. Craigslist is probably your best bet but it is a situation where you get what you pay for
