hard drive was fried. bought a new one twice the size of my old for $100. I spent the lions share of yesterday reinstalling/rebooting. Hoping to finish that tonight.
I'm currently not freaking out about this stuff as much as I feel I should be. I don't know if that's good or bad (probably bad).
Hows it going with application prep?!?!
-Getting deep into the Letter of Intent now
-Putting finishing touches in Portfolio
-Getting Recommendations
All Transcripts and GREs done.
I want to be done soon..... Tired and not happy to be spending more time on this shit.

i know that they prefer academic references because well.. you're trying to go to school, but what if i never got to know my professors on a level where it would be appropriate for them to give me one?
what's the next best thing? volunteer (where i'm a major organizer of events)? work (lowest cog in the wheel currently)? or personal (don't know any architects, but could get a glowing report from an MBA program director)?
pinstripeprincess- but, you`ve got one whole year left. thats more than enough time to let a prof. know you`ve been there long enough for him to write a ref letter.
im applying to some m.arch programs abroad... in my last year of a B.Arch im so nervous... i have 2 letters of rec i think will be good (though im not sure yet), and my portfolio is only just begun... my gpa isnt stellar either...
planning on being really selective in my portfolio, and only showing the projects i really liked then presenting those in depth... it might only be 4 or so projects... is that too few? what do you all think?
Let the grad app games begin...

Sh, sorry to hear about that. but, you must be relieved something like this happened now and not during the crunch period.
-currently accepting criticism from portfolio reviews
-working on the letter of intent
-transcripts and GRE-Toefl done.
question to you all about references.

i'd say go with whoever you feel knows you best and can write something unique and make you stand out.

umm.. i'm not currently in school, i graduated from engineering over a year ago and i spent far more time on my extra-currics than the school part.
