Difference in Arch Schools

AA23

Hi , I am from India and am applying to the M.Arch 1 program next fall. I am facing difficulty in choosing schools to apply to. I have read on this forum that one should extensively research schools first and choose schools based on their design styles and curriculum priorities they have. I have gone through many school websites and apart from the faculty and their work , I cannot find factors which differentiate schools.

I really need to find some information about different individual characteristics of schools apart from their faculty ; to make choices and also to put in my SOPs to different schools.

Where should I start .. ? Do people depend only on the word of mouth in choosing schools .. ?

Any help would be deeply appreciated ... Any info about different schools and what they focus on would help me and others ..

Thanks Guys ..

Well, you've kind of answered your own question I think.

"I have gone through many school websites and apart from the faculty and their work , I cannot find factors which differentiate schools."

These are the two main factors which define the pedagogy (and direction) of any school of architecture. There are obviously many other factors like location, age of the school/ program, curriculum, course structure etc. I think you should look up faculty profiles and the current work/ research that is being conducted at schools that interest you.
