I don't know theses people, but the project shown is not that interesting. They are definitely good looking on the picture, which is a very important quality to be featured in metropolis, but other than this milded objet trouvé thing with the structure of the bridge, I really don't get what is so exciting about their project. I hope next generation will bring more than that...

projects more interesting may have been in the competition, but the winner seems to be exemplary in it's way of uniting the real world and design in a QUITE interesting manner. Hard to think anything that would be more worthy of praise and I hope Metropolis will continue on this path.

When you consider the destruction of the city that has been caused by the massive highway system, I think it is a very interesting concept to reuse these massive concrete slabs. Some of the other entries included a new chair..blah blah and so on. The concept of reusing building materials (especially those that are inherently grotesque) is a giant leap for the US. I hope this project will be successful and that we will continue on in its wake.

Regardless of what you think about metropolis, this is a great project.
