i was tooling around w/ my 3ds max 6 preferences (bad idea), and now when i use the middle mouse button to pan, the viewport switches from smooth + highlights to bouded box. this is super annoying.
how do i switch it back to a normal (no degragation) setting when i pan?
and yes, i have tried to undo my settings by clicking 'reset', but to no avail.
I AGREE WITH TODD, IF U ARE TRYING TO LEARN HOW TO USE THIS PROGRAM U SHOULD HAVE THE BASIC SKILLS OF KNOWING HOW TO READ A BOOK. IT TOOK ME TWO DAYS AND THEN PLAYED WITH THE DAM PROGRAM. IF UR PAYING FOR BASIC PROGRAM INSTRUCTIONS UR WASTING UR TIME AND MONEY........

nevermind. it works now for some reason.
U SHOULD GO TO COLUMBIA THEY TEACH GOOD 3DS MAX, RIGHT?
or teach yourself, the cheaper way.
