what are the benefits/newer features of 2005 compared to desktop 3.0?
also, does anyone have opinions about working with AEC objects?
i am embarking on both with a new project tomorrow and don't want to leave the porche in the garage.
I'm not a big fan of ADT - it can cause a lot of problems. But in response to your question - 3.0 vs 2005 - ADT 2005 is way better. We use ADT 3.0, 2004 and 2005 in our office, depending on the project.
in 2005, The way x-refs update, door schedueling, 3d capabilities are much stronger and much more user friendly. Its the little things that make ADT 2005 much better. ADT 2005 is much more powerful.

we ditched AEC from our CAD software a long long time ago. AEC objects caused us nothing but problems.
