Nurbs Patch Modeling

Khorram

I wonder if any of you might have the same problem as me when your approach to modeling is making Nurbs patches then connecting them by converting to something as I call Editable patches like the one available in Max and to avoid Trimmed Surfaces.
If anyone knows the best technique to convert Nurb Curves and Surfaces to Splines and patches without changing curvature and tangency and position of points on the original surface. I tried to export them as IGES to Autocad, Max and Solidworks but not yet satisfied with the quality of resulting Surfaces. I found the Project Tangent tool in Maya extremely useful to make Surfaces matching in Curvature those any other software have the same feature?
Thank you in advance for any comments.
