so a friend of mine is @ f.i.t. in nyc, but is looking at other schools. specifically s.c.a.d. now i know a few people that got undergrad at s.c.a.d. and master's elsewhere, and as architects are really good. however, i would assume being in nyc itself is worth the education, and she should just stay. savannah is a nice city, but it's not nyc, paris or tokyo. thoughts?

I can't say very much for fashion design in the US outside of new york, but if she wants to become a stylist, fashion editor, etc she should choose a location she wants to live and have a network in.

Stay in NYC.
If you are interested in Europe, there is Central St. Martin in London. There is also a school in Belgium but I don't know the name of it.
my brother is at SCAD and loves it
..in the fashion program, btw. Also, University of Cincinnati has a good program
