I'm drawing basic planar layers over a photgraph. What I want to know is how do I punch holes in layers? I can't seem to figure this out for the life of me. Essentially, can I have a planar layer with windows? Or is there an easier way to do this?
try windowing the area that you want to punch a hole in using any of the marquee tools and pressing the 'delete' button. that should do it.
I got it. Sorry, should have looked before I asked. If anyone wants to know:http://www.heathrowe.com/tuts/vector.asp
Or you could just use livetrace with Illustrator CS2 - and save the time.
Flash also has a nice feature called trace bitmap and you can manually set the tolerance.
