'the vado abides'.. eggsellent. :)
vado, i think you and roberts might be long lost twin bros... or some sort of prince and the pauper situation... if you could convince him to let you take his place, well, that would be awesome!
I'm currently listening to Arlen Specter (who I still immensely respect despite his backpedaling to retain his chairmanship of this committee - I'm certain he will do the right thing when the time comes) question Roberts on NPR. Roberts is answering very eloquently, if opaquely.
So there's another spooky similarity: opaque eloquence
I've been listening two days, and watched quite a bit last night.
I think that most of these politicos are a bunch of blow-hards who like hearing themselves talk. They are literally asking the same questions over, and over, and over, by simply paraphrasing what was asked before.
What a horrible process for a nominee. The only person who is interesting is Joe Biden - and he's a certified A-Hole.
Well I was glad to hear him make a joke or two. Granted, they were the kind of wry, self-focused jests that are only available to the priveleged and well-educated, but they were cute nonetheless.
I like when he said, in so many words "How can I remember things from 24 years ago?" Something like that, I thought Biden would have cast him into a firepit for it.
Damn it I missed Biden, he is fun to listen to,
I have been slow getting into this,
but....
Roberts seems like a thoughtful, smart guy.
Bush coulda done a hell of a lot worse. But this is like dating right now he is taking us out for a movie and some pizza, opening all the doors, and being extra polite, I wonder what'll happen after we give it up.
Are we going to wake up with a hang over, asking what the hell did we do?
Or is this true love?
If nothing else I would prefer this guy to be president over (and Im borrowing this term from norm) chimpy.

Hail Chief Justice Vado!
Anyone listening today?
Who else would just love to punch Joe Biden in the gut?
Great, now they're talking about porno.
What, porn? I'm tuning back in now...
Actually I'm turning the volume up - Diane Feinstein is questioning him now. Give 'im hell, sister.

If I could turn the tables... I wish that Zell Miller was on the nomination panel. Oh how it would be great to listen to him question anyone.
personal highlight du jour:
"They may be misleading answers but they are his answers" -Sen. Arlen Specter
Tuesday's prize for "Best Use of Metaphor" goes to melquiades. Well done, and how true.
That picture of Zell Miller reminds me of the Pope/Evil Emperor from Star Wars.
Is it me, or does Zell Miller possibly have Argyria like Stan Jones?
