Paul, ignore vado retro's response as he is being a joker. Some of the Hurricane Katrina/ New Orleans housing competition entries might be interesting to look at, while not specifically river side, I think some of them addressed building in an area with the possibility of flooding.
hey have a look at the entries for a future house london competition that was held by RIBA in the UK. it was for a future house on the water, some of the entries were really interesting conceptually.
HOUSING ON RIVER SIDE
Hi everybody,
I'm an architecture student (6th year) preparing for my diploma exam. [ at “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism, Bucharest, Romania.]
The subject of my dissertation(essay) is HOUSING ON RIVER SIDE.
I'm looking for any kind of related information witch should help: online articles, web sites, books etc.
Any advices and opinions are welcome.
Thanks for support,

Link to competition results in this thread.
i am totally serious. the name of the project is the most important aspect of the project as it generates analogy as well as imagery.
I agree... The title is a problem. It sounds grammatically off.
I'm guessing from Paul's post that English is not his first language. So the translation may sound off, but I don't think that matters.
