seattle: july, august 2005

Hey,

I may be working in seattle for a few weeks, right smack in the middle of downtown in july and august. What's the scene like out there? Any places I should specifically go see? anyone there like to go hiking (surfing ? ha ha), out to see music or travel to canada (god forbid)?

I know some people up there but am interested to see who reads Archinect up there. or any university of washington students.

OK

I'll start it off:

OMA library :)
Experience Music Project :(
Chapel of St. Ignatius
Seattle Art Museum :)
Jailhouse Garden
Gas Works Park
Space Needle :)
Agosta House :)

i like just chilling out downtown too/

EMP is really expensive
Library and st. ignatius very worth the trip
if you want to see the space needle, look up.
maybe check out the Burke Museum on the UW Campus or whatever art instilation they have at the Henry
hit pikes place market and the piers
figure out where capitol hill is and wander down Broadway st.
stop by either golden gardens or alki beach

those are my humble suggestions :)
