hey everyone, I have been accepted to the M.Arch program at UBC and I was wondering if anyone could give me a few words of advice, anything important that I should be aware of as a newcomer?
oh I've lived here for a while now, I just keep hearing horror stories about the first year and am not sure what to expect, I thought I did, but now things seem different. I just graduated from art school I have ofcourse taken some design and drafting courses but I'm a painter so I'm starting to feel uneasy about it. the school was pretty impressed by my portfolio and they actually gave me early addmission too. but somehow I'm a bit afraid.

Congrats. I hear good things.
The most important thing someone in your situation can do, though, is enjoy Vancouver.

I see.
I can't comment on what to expect, but it sounds like you're as well prepared as any. I'm sure you have nothing to be afraid of. Best of luck!
