I can't think of a name for the building....if you have access to a library, look in Stern's "New York 1960" or the "AIA guide to New York City." BTW, there is another building on 42nd Street across from Bryant Park with a similar facade...both claim the form to be derived from NYC zoning setback laws.

There is a concave facade in Chicago as well. Concrete, but very tall as I remember.
