So I can see how he could get craigslist info from RSS feeds, but how does he interface it with google maps? Does google give access to play around with its map software? I guess in a similar manner that craigslist has RSS, maybe there is a way to query google, and get the data to combine in a different server . . .hmm

Wow, that is handy. Too bad craigslist has already removed half of the entries.

craigslist is wonderful! http://www.craigslist.org/

It is almost anywhere you want to go, live or work.....but mostly live.....and it's updated constantly. It's great for finding apartments in strange cities that you have little hope of visiting beforehand, i.e. moving to San Francisco (from 3000 miles away) to work for 3 months...

Google is awsome.

how do you guys feel about Google being used as a verb [as in "I'll google that]???

I'm from Silicon Valley, so it seems pretty natural to me... but I don't know about the rest of the world...

google gave us 1GB email accounts and forced microsoft and yahoo to upgrade theirs (microsoft had a pathetic 2MB limit!!!)......

plus, they give us the largest information database of mankind, accessible to all, for FREE.......

they can take over the world if they want, I don't mind at all.....

(I do hate it though when my boss says "google it", sounds almost like a baby laugh/sound)

not only that but they have recently upgraded to 2 GB (actually, 2112 MB) ... I will not ever fill my mailbox with that! ... and no spam!

and they plan to upgrade to .. infinity+1! ... unlimited mail storage for free!? .. I love Google!

Craigslist is an amazing resource, but for searching I prefer dogpile
http://www.dogpile.com/ to google. I always find more info.

craigslist is not only good for finding places to live...but for finding places to stay while on vacation too...my parents rented an apt in Berlin for a month last year for only $400...and it was a great (small) apt in a good location...found on craigslist!

and google...its a part of daily life now.

Craigslist ROCKS - I use it for buying and selling mostly, but also like checking out jobs and gigs and stuff like that.
