i got two offers recently. one is from University
at Buffalo, the state university of new york, master
of urban planning. i was awarded only 3000usd for the
first year of study.
The other is from louisiana state university,
master of landscape architecture. They offered me
6500usd assistanship plus tuition waiver.
I am puzzled which to choose because Louisiana
state university offered me more funding, but it seems
the reputation of Suny,Buffalo is better.. Any
suggestion for me?? by the way, how do u know about
the location??how is Buffalo and what about Baton
Rouge,louisiana ?
Buffalo is a pretty depressing city. The silver lining for planners I suppose is that there are a lot of problems to see first hand.
From what I have gathered, urban planning and landscape architecture, while they do share some similarities, are actually quite different. I think you should probably figure out better which career path is appropriate for you rather than base your decision on the school or location.
then what about this two schools??? i think education is important! cause i am majored in architecure in undergraduate education, i am not farmiliar with both urban planning and landscape architecture..but just interested in. could anyone tell me some?
