I am the daughter/sister of architects and finally, after pursuing a BA in journalism, have decided to pursue architecture myself. I will be going to the Harvard Career Discovery program next summer to double check. What should I do in the meantime for preparation for grad school? I have some things for my portfolio from graphic design courses (my minor.) Hopefully I will be taking some sketching courses. Should I try to get a job/internship in graphic design, and add to my portfolio that way? Should I try to get a job that somewhat relates to architecture? My dad says I should just do whatever I want to do, I think that is a load of crap. I have been doing whatever I want to do, and I feel like my experiences are too scattered. Advice?
