Berkeley has one of the best teaching assistance programs anywhere, a 'Graduate Student Instructor' receives a full in-state tuition waiver, health insurance and a stipend for a minimum of 10 hours of work per week (25% appointment). You can also become a resident and receive in-state tuition while attending the University, which is not possible in many states.
The program has three options :
Option I is for students with a B. Arch or previous architectural professional degree.
Option II is for students with a BS Arch or equivalent undergraduate degree and demonstrated proficiency in a variety of design problems.
Option III is for students with no architectural background or with an architecture undergrad and a desire for a more rigorous program.
They are one, two or three year programs, respectively.
I would direct you to some of the other threads which I have commented on which you can find by searching for 'Berkeley'. You can also contact me by clicking on my user name for specific inquiries, or just ask here... a little information about your background or interests would help me give you better advice.
