i attended ucla's open house last year and there was never a need for a portfolio - they actually seemed pretty familiar with each student and their work, strengths/weaknesses, etc.
i do remember wishing i had some business cards or something similar (to keep in contact with people you meet and find out where they decide to attend, get their opinions, etc).

you might want to call about your portfolio so they will keep it for you to pick-up. if you didnt specify, i know they dispose of them by a certain date.

SmallFirmNewHaven

Hello Prospective Yalies: anybody in town for the open house want to schedule a job interview for that same trip?
If you will be moving to New Haven for this spring or summer (the sooner the better. An April start would be ideal.) and are interested in a fulltime spring/summer position with a small firm please email your resume and we will arrange a time to meet while you are in town.
We are a 2-4 person firm specializing in residential and small commercial projects. We are very busy and seeking one or two entry-level people. You would be involved in all aspects of operations in a small design firm (see our ad on the Jobs board, under "SLA Architecture".)
