does anyone know how you can find out about the individual designers of a particular label?
In an arch firm, there's a list of names, often contacts, and occasionally bios of the people in the office- not just the principals...
-What do you do to find the people working for a particular clothing label? the websites cover their collections and the buisness/investor details, but nothing about who's doing the designs- how do i find out?
Depends on what label you're talking about. For a place like Express or Gap, they are considered more brands than labels and thus would be run and produced moreso like a corporation w/ tons of people adding to the design phase. If you are talking about more upper end and coutoure labels like the Costume National or Dior, then it would be quite easy to find out the names. If you go to style.com, for example, which hosts the online pages for Vogue and W and other top-end fashion magazines, they have a section that gives background bit on the labels and various houses. You should be able to find your answer here. The only thing is, you will mostly be getting the names of the head designers and not those underneath such as accessories designer and such.
