I need a ride to Los Angeles from San Francisco on June 11 (Friday) or 12. If anyone wants a live discussion partner or cd jockey in the car, let me know. Will share expenses.
dude I can't drive - Last time we took the train ala North by Northwest (once I posted on Craigslist and someone gave me a lift fo $50 - and before you ask, there was no happy ending)
The train only goes from Emeryville to Bakersfield (ya gots to bus it to the Amtrak station) - I blagged a ride. Why don't you JetBlue it for $59 bucks from Oakland to LA?
Grayhound. Did it 2 times, NY to LA (2 days 3 nites) and many rides from SF to LA and elsewhere. The Bus never stops, except pick up and drop passengers and Burgerking chow, drivers change. Grayhound, where every mile is an experience both inside and outside the bus..

Cams - did you take the train from SF to LA? How much did it cost?
Portland to Seattle used to be $35 (one way I believe). It's about the same distance from SF to LA...
it was about $40/50 bucks on Amtrak. I hung out in the dining and the viewing cars.
cool, thanks dudes.
it's $49 - but includes 2 bus rides!
what do you mean, CS?
