As you glue things up have a scrap piece of chipboard / cardstock that has a right angled corner. Use this as a scree to wipe away the glue that oozes out. Don't wait long to do this though as the glue needs to be 100% liquid. If the glue starts to set and yo do this it will make the glue 'bumpy' and can pick up scrap's from the scree.
