I’m a licensed architect with 6 years experience that’s about to make the move from NYC to Philadelphia for my partner’s career. The scene in Philly seems small, but also vibrant. What are the firms people recommend working at? Also if anyone has information on average salaries in the city I’d appreciate it. I’m unsure if they are significantly lower than NYC or not.
As for the salary: I'd take a look at this sites salary comparison data. It would also be worth spending the money to get the salary report from AIA for the past year or so.
Moving from NYC to Philly
Hi fellow archinecters,
I’m a licensed architect with 6 years experience that’s about to make the move from NYC to Philadelphia for my partner’s career. The scene in Philly seems small, but also vibrant. What are the firms people recommend working at? Also if anyone has information on average salaries in the city I’d appreciate it. I’m unsure if they are significantly lower than NYC or not.
Cheers and thanks in advance!
I can't help you with the firms in PA.

Good luck with your move!
Thanks Chad, appreciate the response! Definitely going to do some googling, would love to avoid paying $415 for a pdf though.
You can buy a report just for an area of the US. I think they're about $150. I could be incorrect though.

Kieran Timberlake and OLIN are the biggest names from Philly IMO.
