Architectural Technologist/Technician vs 3D Visualizer

Aung Naing Latt

I would love to know the difference between an Architectural Technologist and a 3D visualizer in terms of their job responsibilities, incomes, carriers, job opportunities and most importantly, the kinds of software that they use.

Thanks! :'D

Sounds like totally different segments until VR truly becomes an industry norm (Not a long time). A technologist would fall more under a computational design category, though I suppose BIM experts could count as a "technologist" too depending on the firm's level of expertise. A visualizer would be a rendering guru, primarily charged with producing images/fly-throughs and other renditions of the design. There may be some instances where the two overlap - if the visualization is coincident with model/info management but that seems to be rare today.

Would someone at SHoP who specializes in that Unity suite (being advertised heavily on social media) be both a technologist and a visualizer because of the purported ability of AR software to visualize building information in real time?
