I'm interested in developing myself further in green building certification and sustainability field and I have an architectural background. I'm currently working as an architect (not licenced yet) in Europe and I would like to work more on sustanability projects and green building certification (for example LEED and WELL). For those of you who have been through the same path, I would like to ask for advice: Do you find the green building certification popular enough in Europe (Germany, France, Spain)? If so, how would you recommend me searching for the right job? Would you recommend taking some particular exams before applying? If you have any input about the topic, I would be very thankful to share it with me!
LEED =/= sustainability. It's a minimum effort score sheet to make people believe you're saving the earth. In addition to that, I despise the idea of WELL because the concept of "wellness" is too often filled with nonsensical new age gooblygook.
What you need to do instead of searching for superficial accreditation is find offices that actively work with various building technologies or programs and materials you find (from a sustainable point of view) interesting. It's too easy to simplify a big & complicated subject like sustainability with a few key buzzwords and trends. Look beyond the trends.

from architecture to green building certification
Hello everyone,
I'm interested in developing myself further in green building certification and sustainability field and I have an architectural background.
Thank you!
