Does anyone know of general contractors or construction managers in the NYC area that either do particularly good work, or firms that work with good architects? Alternatively, as architects, any contractors you are particularly fond of? If so, who and what do you like about them?
I'm looking to change CM companies and am trying to get a feel for whats out there. I know there are plenty of really big GC/CM's that get big name work, but I'd rather help build a great building than the next high-rise at Hudson Yards. Well I guess in NYC many of the big/popular Architects are all doing the ubiquitous high-rise, so it wouldn't be the worst thing to work with a quality Architecture firm. Im shooting for the stars here, any help/direction? Thanks.
