Anyone have experience with them? I've done some research and understand their structural behavior, but am concerned about the performance of the enclosure. Most of the images I've come across seem to show just 1 light so I imagine the thermal properties aren't very good. Has anyone encountered problems with leakage? Seals failing when the facade flexes?

if you braid the cables into corn rows you can get some nice effects. Your school design project is not going to leak.
Check out Octatube, they do these facades for a living and might offer some help or insight.
