Version Control Software

What software does your office use for version control? Any tips on how to eliminate office culture of constant emailing of pdf's back and forth?

Git/Github? It is not just for software anymore... See this or this

"If you are a graphic or web designer and want to keep every version of an image or layout (which you would most certainly want to), a Version Control System (VCS) is a very wise thing to use."

I've started bringing git into practice with my small working group. My background before arch was computer eng and it drives me nuts to see how messy file management is in architecture. I would warn that for some people it takes a while to get the hang of this stuff, maybe best to implement in a smaller project where mostly 2-3 of you are sharing the same file.
